The Houston Vendor is a directory for discovering Houston-area businesses and events. These terms describe how to use listings, accounts, and the information we publish.
Accounts and ownership
Use an email address you control and manage only businesses you own or are authorized to represent. Keep your sign-in links private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Email verification confirms access to an email address; it is not certification of a business, its licenses, or its suitability for an event.
Listing information and uploads
Provide accurate business and contact information, and upload only photos and content you have permission to use. By submitting content for a listing, you allow us to display and resize it for the directory and operate the related listing features. Do not submit misleading claims, impersonate another business, publish someone’s private information, or upload unlawful content.
Moderation and removal
We may edit, hide, reject, suspend, or remove listings that are inaccurate, unlawful, misleading, unsafe, duplicative, or inconsistent with the directory’s purpose. You can request corrections or removal. A listing, ownership claim, saved item, or verification badge is not an endorsement or guarantee.
Events, applications, and bookings
Event dates, availability, application deadlines, fees, and locations can change. Confirm current details with the organizer before applying, paying, or traveling. Saving an event does not submit a vendor application or reserve a space. Vendors and organizers contract directly and are responsible for pricing, payment, cancellation, credentials, safety, and performance.
Vendor responsibilities
Vendors are responsible for meeting applicable permits, insurance, licensing, tax, and event requirements. The directory does not verify every qualification or guarantee that a vendor or event meets your requirements.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access other people’s accounts, misuse verification links, submit spam, interfere with the service, or bypass security controls. We may limit access or submissions to protect visitors, businesses, and the directory.
Optional contributions
Contributions support the operation of The Houston Vendor and do not change standard listing visibility, verification, or booking priority. One-time contributions are charged once. Monthly support is charged immediately and renews automatically each month until canceled through Stripe. Contributions are generally non-refundable; contact info@thehoustonvendor.com about duplicate or unauthorized charges. These payments support a business service and are not charitable donations.
Help and changes
Contact us about incorrect information, disputed ownership, or account problems. We may update these terms as features change; the date above identifies the current version. Our privacy policy explains how we use account and listing information.
